Seniors at Eastbourne Over a 2-session qualifying event, Jean Squires & Norman Gascoyne came 1st in the 2nd session (in a field of over 140); this qualified them for the A final, finishing 9th out of the top 20. An excellent performance.
Oxfordshire Congress On 28th and 29th June we held our local congress at Steventon village hall. Well done to Peter Russell and Ron Quainton, who won the Saturday pairs event. The green pointed teams event on Sunday had 42 teams; again, congratulations to Peter Russell and his team, for 3rd place. Several of our Club members were involved in the smooth running of this event - our thanks to them for all their hard work.
24 pairs competed in the Oxfordshire Mixed Pairs on 15th June - congratulations to the winners, Erica & Chris Sheppard; a resounding victory finishing 6% ahead of the rest of the field! Debbie Roberts & Geoff Nicholas were 2nd, with Ron Quainton & Sandra Landy in 4th place.

LEN SALMON TROPHY The Club's annual 'friendly' against Abingdon was held recently. 3 teams of 8 from both Clubs competed with Wallingford eventually retaining the Len Salmon trophy for another year. Good company, good competition & an excellent tea - Well done to everyone involved.
